Aging

A gradual decrease in permittivity over time.

Slurry

A paint made from ceramic powders suspended in an organic binder.

Dielectric breakdown

The formation of an electric arc between the electrodes, which leads to the breakdown of the dielectric.

Conductive terminals located on the outside of a capacitor that allow it to be soldered onto circuits and ensure electrical contact.
