5. Conclusion
The DVB standard, initially proposed for content broadcasting services, has been adapted to enable broadband access and bidirectional services. It enables efficient use of the radio resource, and the specificities of the waveform must be taken into account, both in the schedulers and in the elements of the control plane.
DVB standardization is evolving to cover the new needs of SATCOM systems, such as low-orbit constellation systems.
