6. Fields of application

The relevance of 802.11ah technology in IoT applications can be discussed based on the results of the previous section. Most stations in an IoT network have low computing power, are dispersed over large geographical areas, have a small amount of data and need to optimize their energy consumption. The main characteristics of HaLow Wi-Fi are medium range, low power consumption, hyperconnectivity, interoperability and low latency.
