Conclusions

This article presents the basic concepts of aspect-oriented programming and their implementation in the two most widely used approaches in the field: the AspectJ language and the Spring AOP framework. Aspect-oriented programming was born out of the realization that existing programming styles suffer from limitations when it comes to taking into account so-called transversal functionalities. Aspect-based programming provides an answer to this problem, with the notion of aspect, which is made up of a set of cuts and plug-ins.

Aspect-oriented programming has aroused a great deal of interest in the community of programmers and programming language designers.
