"Mashups" are a new form of applications representative of the appropriation by company computing of standards, protocols and usages made popular by the generalized development of the Web. Their specificity is to enable users/developers to take control of the technical architecture of the Web, modern browsers and Cloud Computing in order to develop tactical applications specific for their needs.
