An organized set of activities with measurable objectives, inputs, outputs, and outcomes.

Test process

In systems engineering, the basic processes directly related to testing are: integration, verification, transition, and validation.

System

Characterized by a set of components (technological equipment, software, human operators, materials, procedures, services) that interact closely with each other, flowing matter, energy, and information within a given environment or context. This set satisfies needs and expectations. It accomplishes a mission with prescribed objectives that enable it to achieve or fulfill a purpose.
