5. Conclusion

Electronic archiving, as reflected in all the standards in the sector, is a challenge that affects all companies and organizations, in both its managerial (records management) and technical (archiving) dimensions. The arsenal of standards is made up of several bricks of heterogeneous origin, whose articulation clearly identifies the issues to be taken into consideration. However, it is important not to give in to the complexity of standards, as too much standardization kills standardization.

The following three phenomena will also have to be taken into account in the years to come:

1. to master the "digital tsunami", archiving must be integrated earlier and more rigorously into information governance and business applications;

2. Cloud technology, which is gaining ground today in a variety of forms (infrastructure...
