2. Open vapor phase circulation

In this case, equilibrium is achieved by saturating the phases and circulating a moving gas phase inside the cell containing the dense phase(s). It is important, however, that the moving phase is completely separated from the stationary phase, without entraining droplets, since sampling is carried out after mechanical separation of the phases.

These methods appear very similar to quasi-static methods, but they differ in that the gas phase is not re-injected, making it more difficult to achieve complete saturation of the gas phase in a single pass. The methods available differ in the way they measure and process experimental data.

2.1 Circulation of the gaseous compound in a cell containing a quasi-saturated liquid
