2. Solvent transfer and filtration

The study of solvent transfer makes it possible to relate the driving force of the process (transmembrane pressure) to the filtration flow rate. Section 2.1 presents the filtration law that describes solvent transfer in the absence and presence of retained species. The main limitations to transfer due to osmotic back pressure and clogging resistance are then detailed in paragraphs 2.2
