6. Manufacturing time
The purpose of this paragraph is to provide a simple method for estimating laser fusion manufacturing times based solely on the volume of the parts and the manufacturing height h. This estimate of manufacturing time does not take into account the time required to heat and cool the chamber, to create the construction supports, the contours and the envelope of the part, or the time between two successive laser lines (skywriting and the time between the end of one line and the start of another).
The manufacturing time can be broken down into two phases: a layering phase and a laser construction phase. (3) :
