    Multimodal platforms facilitate the exchange of products between the three modes of transport - road, rail and river - and contribute to the development of alternatives to road transport.

  • Context

    Nord-Pas-de-Calais is France's second-largest exporting region, and one of the most densely populated in Europe. It is an industrial, commercial and active region. It generates a goods flow of over 230 million tonnes a year, transported by road, rail or waterway. This traffic is characterized by strong growth in containerized goods and multimodal traffic.
