deposition efficiency (DE)

Ratio between the mass of powder injected into the system and the mass of material deposited on the substrate part.

splat ; splat

Particle crushed by plastic deformation on impact.

vitesse critique; critical velocity

Particle velocity threshold below which the deposit cannot adhere to the substrate or build up.
