2.1 Deposit adhesion

Adhesion is generally excellent, and superior to that achieved by other techniques, whatever the deposit-substrate pair. This is due to :

  • preparation of the substrate surface prior to deposition;

  • to the formation of a deposit-substrate interface where substrate and deposit materials mix.
