5. Fibers and reinforcement methods for anti-corrosion applications

There are several factors to consider here:

  • the reinforcing fibers must be completely encapsulated and protected by the resin or matrix, otherwise water and chemicals can reach the fiber-matrix interface and rapidly degrade performance;

  • sizing products must be carefully selected.
