5. Define and implement prevention and treatment measures

You will take steps to reduce the impact of your emissions on workers and the environment.

5.1 Identify and manage potentially dangerous areas

  • Areas where the release of air may give rise to risks must be identified and equipped for prevention and protection.

  • Hazardous atmosphere detectors must be installed (toxic, explosive).

  • Areas where flammable or explosive substances are handled must be ventilated.

  • Depending on the type of hazard, production equipment must be linked to ventilation and/or evacuation alarms must be triggered when a hazardous atmosphere is detected, to prevent personnel from entering the danger zone.
