2. Once authorization has been granted, what are the first steps to be taken?
2.1 Supply chain communication
If you are a supplier of the substance as such or contained in a mixture, and the covered use is carried out on the site of a user located downstream in your supply chain, then you must update the extended SDS (article 31.9 of REACH) without delay with the following elements:
integration of the REACH number in sections 2 & 15 of the MSDS ;
inclusion of operating conditions and risk management measures in the SDS appendix.
In addition, the authorization number must be included on the label (Article 65 of REACH) of the product containing the substance, and must therefore be included in this section of the SDS.
