5.1 Define the time needed to complete your files
The preparation time for an application dossier is a minimum of two to three months, taking into account the time required for analytical testing and the average time taken by ECHA to evaluate the dossier. You need to include this time in your forecast timing, which must also take into account the completion of the registration dossier, before the substance is placed on the market. Note that if you already have the analytical tests, the lead time can be reduced to a fortnight or a month.
