4. Analyze risk at the workstation

In steps 2 and 3, we assessed an OHB level, which characterizes the substance's level of hazard, based on current knowledge. We also defined an Exposure Index (EI), which characterizes the level of workplace exposure to the nanoparticulate substance.

As a final step, the combination of IE and OHB leads to a risk index (IR): IR = OHB - IE
