5.1 Choose your prevention measures

As part of a preventive approach, here are a few good organizational practices that should be implemented as a priority to avoid/limit risk:

  • limit the number of people potentially exposed;

  • limit the quantities of nanoparticulate substances handled ;

  • focus on the organization of nano workstation management.

  • dedicate a specific "nano" workstation with signs indicating the nano work area;

  • identify and evaluate all related operational phases (cleaning, maintenance, upkeep, storage,...
