2. Check whether the product is exempt from REACh's scope of application

If the product is completely exempt from REACh, the SDS is not required.

The following products are entirely exempted from the scope of REACh (article 2.1) or are not considered as substances, mixtures or articles:

  • radioactive substances falling within the scope of directive 96/29/Euratom du Conseil du 13 mai 1996 laying down basic standards for the protection of the health of workers and the general public against the dangers arising from ionizing radiation;

  • substances, on their own or in mixtures or articles, which are subject to customs control, provided...
