1. Determine the medical surveillance of employees exposed to chemicals: simple medical surveillance (SMS) or reinforced medical surveillance (SMR)?
To be subject to the obligation to declare employees undergoing reinforced medical surveillance due to their exposure to chemicals, you must :
to have identified that there was occupational exposure to hazardous chemical agents or to a CMR of category 1 or 2 according to DSD/DPD (1A/1B according to CLP), i.e. a possible introduction of this chemical agent into a worker's body by the respiratory, cutaneous or ingestion route, in a work situation (occupational activities in the context of which chemical agents are used or produced deliberately or in a non-deliberate manner or inseparable from the company's activity);
to have assessed this risk of exposure and concluded that the risk was "not low".
