3. Updating ELINCS substance registration dossiers under REACh

The two main situations that may lead to an update of an ELINCS substance registration dossier are :

  • updating classification and labelling elements (see last step "You are the substance notifier");

  • the passage of a tonnage band.

3.1 The different tonnage bands

The tonnage bands are distributed according to the quantities produced per year:

  • 1-10 tons/year ;

  • 10-100 tons/year ;

  • 100-1,000 tonnes/year ;

  • >1,000 tons/year.
