DASRI is waste from care activities involving infectious risks. It is waste from diagnostic, monitoring and preventive, curative and palliative treatment activities in the fields of human and veterinary medicine. Waste from teaching, research and industrial production activities in the field of human medicine is treated in the same way as healthcare waste.
It should be noted that the notion of psycho-emotional impact does not fall within the scope of article R. 1335-1 du Code de la santé publique .
This new sector (small care equipment) has been created on the basis of the new EPR (extended producer responsibility) legislation.
