Why describe a function?

For ease of drafting and reading, we will only use the term "Job Definition" in the remainder of this sheet. The differences between a function definition and a job definition are essentially those of usage, and therefore minor.

In practice, therefore, and depending on usage, the term "position" can be substituted for "function" without any problem. On the other hand, the wording "job sheet" is more commonly used as an instruction for an execution job, for an elementary production task for example, where it specifies the specific requirements of the job and completes the job description of the operator assigned to it.
