4.1 Don't be afraid to innovate

It's good practice to take into account what already exists, as well as recognized market standards and benchmarks.

Nevertheless, a consensus seems to be emerging today that around 20% of corporate business processes, mainly core business processes, are differentiated from the competition. For these processes, customized development is fully justified, requiring detailed analysis and sometimes the affirmation of a specific way of operating.

The remaining processes (around 80%) involve activities and routines that are fairly common within a given sector of activity, and offer little differentiation for companies in this sector. As a result, these processes do not always require the same level of investment...
