2. What types of Kanban do we encounter?

2.1 Production Kanban

The production kanban corresponds to the labels present at the various production stations. The downstream station consumes the items it needs from the container, and sends the label present on this container back to the upstream station to restart production. These kanbans are used when the upstream and downstream stations are geographically close to each other.
