2. What can we understand?

2.1 Which stakeholders, needs and expectations should be taken into account?

Taken literally, the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 could lead companies to integrate all possible interested parties and all expressed or assumed needs and expectations into their quality processes.

Of course, this was not the intention of the drafters of ISO 9001. They anticipated certain questions and specified in Annex A3 of the standard that the consideration of interested parties and their needs and expectations "does not imply any extension of the requirements relating to the quality management system beyond the scope of this International Standard". In other words, there is no obligation to take into account needs and expectations relating to subjects other than those listed...
