2. Make an initial inventory

In addition to the necessary documentary and bibliographical work, the initial site survey is above all a field investigation and on-site measurement process. This effort must be proportionate to the ecological importance of the site concerned by the project.

2.1 Gather documentary and bibliographical data

At this stage, you have access to sources of information immediately available on the Internet or consultable from dedicated organizations such as :

  • DREAL websites (ZNIEFF, ZICO, Natura 2000 sites, GIS layers of various areas of ecological interest, etc.).

  • Regional nature parks.

  • National botanical conservatories.
