1. Why carry out an impact study?

The aim of the impact study is to demonstrate that the technical solution chosen for your project best reconciles its appropriateness with the preservation of the environment. Even if you subcontract this part to an engineering firm, you must ensure that it is carried out properly, as it is fundamental to the authorization process for the planned operation.

1.1 Contents of an impact study

This content is defined in article R. 122-3 of Code de l’environnement . It must "be commensurate with the scale of the planned works and developments and their foreseeable impact on the environment".
