Major accident
An event such as a major emission, fire or explosion resulting from uncontrolled developments occurring during the operation of an establishment, causing immediate or deferred serious consequences for people and the environment, and involving one or more hazardous substances or preparations.
Preparations
Mixtures or solutions composed of two or more substances.
Risk
Possibility of damage resulting from exposure to the effects of a hazardous phenomenon. In the specific context of "technological risk", risk is, for a given accident, the combination of the probability of occurrence of a dreaded/final event considered.
