1. Identify the reasons behind the situation

The main reasons for this situation are :

• a change in the ICPE nomenclature, by adding a new heading or changing the classification thresholds for existing headings, for activities you already operate but have not notified to the prefect within one year of the date of the change;

• a change in your activities, which were previously unclassified or subject only to declaration or registration;

• a lack of knowledge on your part of the nomenclature for a business you've been running for a while.
