1. Identify the obligations and procedural steps involved in damage prevention

During the prevention period, you must take the necessary emergency measures without delay, and then inform the authorities. During the prevention period, the administrative authority may at any time ask you to provide all relevant information concerning the threat or damage and the preventive or remedial measures implemented or planned (cf. article L. 162-13 of Code de l’environnement ).
