6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't forget to declare the change of operator

When an ICPE changes operator, the new operator must notify the Prefect within one month of taking over the operation.

As this formality is the responsibility of the new operator, it is essential for the former operator to ensure that it is carried out correctly, and to request proof of this.

This declaration specifies:

  • for a natural person: the surname, first names and address of the new operator;

  • for a legal entity: name, corporate name, legal form, registered office address and capacity of the person signing the declaration.
