5.1 Involve the ICPE inspector in a modification project

The ICPE inspector is your contact. He has examined your declaration, registration or authorization application. He has drawn up the technical specifications applicable to your facility. He has the power to inspect your plant at any time, and to draw up an official report in the event of non-compliance.

It is therefore essential to involve him in any project to modify your business or facility:

• by complying with your obligation to provide information prior to implementing the modification;

• accompanying any written document with a verbal exchange with the ICPE inspector;
