INTRODUCTION
You wish to close your environmentally classified facility.
Are you wondering how to proceed and what your obligations are towards the authorities?
When you cease an ICPE activity, you are required to inform the prefectoral authority in advance, and to restore the site to a condition that does not adversely affect the interests protected by ICPE regulations.
The procedures for implementing these two obligations vary according to whether the facility is subject to registration or authorization, and for those subject to authorization, according to the date of authorization (before or after January 1 er 2004).
Please note
For companies subject to declaration, please refer to the information sheet Putting an end to ICPE activities subject to declaration
