6. Your fifth obligation: declare your waste production

For certain facilities, you are required to make an annual declaration of your waste production to the Minister responsible for Classified Installations. The thresholds and the type of facility are defined in article 4 of arrêté du 31 janvier 2008 . To find out whether you are subject to this obligation, please refer to Title II, Article 4 of the above-mentioned decree.

For example, a facility subject to ICPE authorization will have to declare its hazardous waste production if the total quantity for the year exceeds 2 tons. This threshold may change. This is why it is important to refer to the regulatory texts.
