2. How do consultations work?

As part of the registration procedure, the parties consulted are :

  • municipal councils for their opinion ;

  • the public, in the town hall and on the Internet for four weeks.

2.1 Town councils

If the application is accepted, the prefect sends a copy of the complete and regular application to the municipal council of the municipality in which the facility is planned, and to the municipal councils of the municipalities affected by the risks and inconveniences that the facility may cause, within 15 days. At the very least, the file will be sent to those whose territory lies within a radius of one kilometer of the perimeter of the facility concerned.
