Adsorption is one of the treatment methods available to the water treatment company to eliminate biologically dissolved non-degradable organic matter.

5.1 Reminder of the mechanisms involved

Adsorption defines the property of certain materials to bind to their surface organic molecules extracted from the liquid or gaseous phase in which they are immersed.

The basic phenomenon involved is mass transfer from the liquid or gaseous phase to the surface of the adsorbent material, to which the organic compound tends to bind
