1. Industrial waste neutralization

Almost all industrial manufacturing processes generate acidic or basic waste effluents.

Acidic wastewater comes mainly from metal pickling operations, fruit canning, wool dyeing, the manufacture of acids themselves, etc., while alkaline wastewater can come from tanneries, textile degreasing, vat dyeing, laundries, acetylene manufacture, various industrial washing operations, etc.

Acidity and basicity do not mean pollution in the strict sense of the term, but it is no less true that the nuisance resulting from excess acidity or basicity can be considerable.

Generally speaking, effluents that are too acidic or alkaline lead to the corrosion of common building materials, cause the death of fauna and flora in our natural environments (rivers and lakes), and affect the biological purification processes of our treatment...
