1. Inform the administration of the cessation of activity

When a classified facility subject to declaration is permanently shut down, the operator must notify the Prefect of the date of shutdown (article R. 512-66-1 of Code de l’environnement ).

1.1 When is notification required?

The operator must inform the Prefect at least one month before ceasing operations.
