4. Our advice

4.1 Control deadlines and promote consultation

The discharge authorization issued by the mayor is independent of the prefectoral authorization issued under ICPE regulations.

In order not to delay the start-up of your operation, and to avoid any discrepancies between the requirements for discharge and those for operation of the ICPE, we recommend that you process the two procedures in parallel, and that you encourage consultation between the various departments involved, to ensure that the requirements set out in the two authorizations are consistent.
