3. Understand the concept of an inspection report and its contents

3.1 Notion of inspection report

The inspection report is the official document drawn up by the environmental inspector, setting out in writing the non-conformities observed during an inspection visit.

This report has the legal value of a procès-verbal, i.e. a document drawn up by an authorized authority to establish the existence of a fact likely to lead to administrative sanctions and/or criminal prosecution.
