Can you be refused environmental authorization?

Yes, the environmental permit may be refused:

• if your file remains incomplete, despite a request to complete it from the prefect of your department (prefect of police in Paris);

• if the authorities consulted when examining the admissibility of your authorization application have expressed their disagreement with the project within the time limit set;

• if the measures specified in the prefectoral decree do not prevent the dangers or inconveniences presented by your project for the interests protected by ICPE and water regulations.
