1. Take an inventory of your waste

In order to improve its waste management, a company must first draw up an exhaustive inventory of its waste, identifying the nature and quantities of waste produced, the storage conditions and the disposal methods used (see Waste: drawing up an inventory [FIC 0784] ).

The following steps must be followed if a company wishes to ensure regulatory compliance when managing its waste. They must be implemented regardless of the company's size, status or quantity of waste produced.
