5. Our advice

To test new materials on your machine:

  • Before testing any new material, carry out trials with a known material of the same thickness and, if possible, PVC.

  • Determine the optimum parameters for good quality welding.

  • Without touching the settings you've just found, place the new material under the press and send a welding cycle.

  • Observe the variation of parameters on the machine during welding.

  • The machine has to reach certain values for the weld to be good. If you don't reach them, then modify the parameters: power, time, tool temperature, etc.
