3. What are the special features of thermoplastic welding?
It all seems so simple. All you have to do is heat and press the materials together. What's more, suppliers can train you in just one day. However, when a lack of adhesion occurs at the machine exit, or when customer feedback alerts you, you realize that the solution is much more complicated. Four areas need to be addressed:
man and his possible failings;
matter and its many vagaries (chemical composition, physical imperfections, etc.);
the machine and any possible breakdowns or drifts (lack of air, wear, seizure, etc.);
the environment, with all its variations and unknowns.
