Industrial fields are many and varied. Within a single problem, there can be several variations and different obligations linked to it. For example, cars, trains and planes all have the same purpose: to transport people. Despite this, each must meet very different quality criteria. This is due to the difference in technology used, as well as the associated risks. It seems obvious that regulations are more stringent for aircraft than for cars; indeed, the consequences of a malfunction on an aircraft are potentially far more serious than on a car.
There's only one cure for accidents and breakdowns: quality! Quality in personnel, design, maintenance and control, of course.
