2. Drawing up design specifications

Once the CDCD has been handed over to the designers concerned, the project manager calls a meeting of the design team, including the designers, to inform them of its content. The team then brainstorms about the different directions to be explored. Decisions on these directions depend on a critical analysis of previous projects. Additional information to the CDCD may be sought by the designers or passed on by other project participants, in order to complete the initial content. This makes it possible to clarify the problem posed by seeking a definition of the needs and cultural traits of the target population. Visual information enables designers to draw inspiration more directly from lines, shapes, textures and colors.
