4. Our advice

The industrial design profession mainly comprises self-employed workers or those working in small structures, as the specialty is less profitable for an agency than other professions such as graphic design, packaging, commercial architecture or brand image (logos, name research, pictograms...). It is therefore advantageous to turn to these small structures, especially as they are generally specialized and expert in a particular field (e.g., small household appliances, toys, etc.).

Don't hesitate to ask these designers' (industrial) customers or manufacturers (plasturgists, cardboard makers, metal processors...) who have worked on their projects to assess their degree of fantasy or seriousness.

It's a good idea to consult specialized directories, which present the references of different agencies and industrial designers in a single work....
