9.1 Don't forget to plan quality assurance milestones

It's important to include stopping points in the design stages to ensure the "quality" produced by the project.

This starts with a review of the input data. Omitting this first step runs the risk of working on incompatible solutions or inconsistent objectives. In addition to soaring costs and delays, the effort required to "re-coherence" the project will far outweigh the initial investment made in this review.
